8th Bulihan Festival 

■ 축제기간 : 2018년 4월 13일 ~ 2018년 4월 26일 

■ 장소 : 퀘존 삼팔록 (Municipality of Sampaloc, Quezon) 

■ 축제설명 

Bulihan Festival is celebrated every 22-26 of April. It is Sampaloc’s celebration of culture, creativity, fun and amusement and display of native products and delicacies concocted by Sampalukins. A parade is done where officials and employees wear costumes made of buri. Bulihan Festival features some activities from the past being revived to adapt to the present fast-paced life. Pinoy games are played like, Juego de anillo, Tiyakad, and Palosebo. We also highlight the harana wherein kundiman songs are sung by our haranistas to reminisce the old days of courtship.

Authentic Sampaloc dishes and native delicacies are also being featured as well as the products made from buri hand-woven by Sampaloc ladies. These products are also used to decorate the façade of every house during the Payas Contest. Visitors can also revel in the gifts of nature, for Sampaloc is rich in natural resources and eco-tourism attractions.
